About El Salvador

jiquilisco-isla-de-los-pajarosEl Salvador is one of the smallest countries in Central America. It is about as large as Wales or the state of Massachusetts, and is a mountainous country with the highest points reaching over 1,800 m/6,000 ft. Since El Salvador only borders the Pacific Ocean and not the Caribbean, there is no threat of hurricanes. The safe location and tropical surroundings make for the perfect location for a green hotel in El Salvador.

El Salvador has a tropical climate with a single rainy season between May and October. Rainfall during this time is usually a single downpour during the day or night with the rest of the day being sunny.

The year round average air temperature is between 70 ° – 90 ° Fahrenheit or 21 ° – 32 ° Celsius, with the hottest months typically being March and April.
